IMPORTANT PARENTS!!!

Due to a scheduling conflict the Variety Show Final and Mandatory dress rehearsal has been changed to
Thursday Nov. 5th at 4:30- 6:30.

The Children Must have all needed as if this was the show (props, costumes, etc...)

I'm very sorry for the Change it was out of my control.

Variety Show Reminder:

• 3rd, 4th,  5th grade practice until 4:30 - Monday Oct 26th
  
  
• K,1st, 2nd, practice until 4:30 - Wednesday Oct. 28th
  
  
• Dress Rehearsal Sunday November 1st - Everyone !!!!!  12-5
  (I will provide a pizza break)
  • Everyone in show must be present
  • Costumes, Props Mandatory
  • Black top , black pants, dark shoes must be worn this day!!
  • If I don't have your music-you will not be able to practice

This is our main dress rehearsal - the only one on the stage!
All props, costumes etc... Must be brought! NO EXCUSES!
And yes, all cast members MUST be present!!!!!!

Dear Students,

This year there will be a 2^nd Annual Variety Show, due to great demand.  The practices will run slightly different this year.  Wednesday, September 23^rd, from 2:45-4:30 you must be present if you plan to do an individual act that you are bringing to me (example, singing, dancing, playing an instrument, comedy, magic trick, etc...).  You do not need your act completed that day – but a sound idea must be presented to me.  Your act must be presented to me and completed by Wednesday, October 14^th (after school until 5:00).  DO NOT come to me with an inappropriate song (parents, listen to the words and meaning of the song.  If it is inappropriate, your child may not use it!).

If you are in Kindergarten, 1^st and 2^nd grades and want to be in a skit that will be prepared for a group number you must attend the following practices.  Monday, October 19^th, Wednesday October 28^th (after school until 4:30).  If you are in 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th grades and want to be in a skit prepared for you as a group number you must attend the following practices:  Monday, October 5^th and Monday, October 26^th (after school until 4:30).  If you are in 6^th, 7^th and 8^th grades and want to be in a skit that will be prepared for a group number, you must attend the following practices:  Wednesday, September 30^th and Wednesday, October 21^st (after school until 4:30).

Everyone in the show is expected to be at November 2^nd’s practice (after school until 5:00) and both dress rehearsals on Sunday, November 1^st and Thursday, November 6^th.  The show is Friday evening November 7^th.

Please understand putting on a show is difficult and dedication is needed.  I’m trying to be fair to schedules and know what it is like juggling one (actually six).  Therefore, if you are committing to a skit – you must be at your two skit practices and the three final practices.  That’s only five practices to be in a production!

If you are performing your own act along with being in a skit – you are required to be at September 23^rd’s meeting, October 14^th’s presentation, your two skit practices and the 3 final practices.  That is only 7 practices to be in a group show number and also perform your own act. 

If you are only presenting your own individual act (not joining a skit), then you must attend September 23^rd, October 14^th, and the 3 final practices.  Again, only 5 practices total to be in a show.
